Shares of BF&M Ltd improved 40 cents, or 1.9 per cent, to $21 after 1,000 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

Also improving were shares of Butterfield Bank which rose 50 cents, or 1.6 per cent, to $32.50 after 4,070 changed hands.

Argus Group was down 20 cents, or 5.1 per cent, to $3.75 after 300 traded.

There was also trading in shares of Somers Ltd and Ascendant Group, but with no change to the closing prices of either stock.

On the New York Stock Exchange, shares of Butterfield Bank fell 23 cents, or 0.69 per cent, to $33.20.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 21.55 points, or 1.1 per cent, at 1,981.03.
