Falls in the share prices of BF&M Ltd and Ascendant Group left The Royal Gazette/BSX Index lower today.

Insurer BF&M slipped $1.50, or 7.3 per cent, albeit on very light volume of 100 shares.

Ascendant, parent company of power utility Belco, slumped 25 cents, or 2.8 per cent, to close on $8.75.

The BSX index fell 13.89 points, or 0.66 per cent, to close on 2,107.28. Trading volume was 4,400 shares and turnover totalled $39,535.

The BSX Insurance Index dipped 17.04 points, or 0.9 per cent, to close on 1,821.93.
