Ascendant remains at year high

Three stocks traded, but none of them saw price changes, in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading

Three domestic main board stocks traded on the Bermuda Stock Exchange, but all their prices remained unchanged.

Ascendant Group Ltd, parent company of power utility Belco, was the most actively traded, with 4,000 shares changing hands as the stock remained on a 52-week high of $9.25.

Insurer BF&M Ltd remained on $19.10 as 800 shares traded, while Butterfield Bank remained on $36 as 113 shares were exchanged.

On the New York Stock Exchange, Butterfield fell 6 cents, or 0.16 per cent, to close on $36.58.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed unchanged on 2,134.59. Trading turnover was 4,913 shares, while turnover totalled $56,321.50.

The BSX Insurance Index climbed strongly, gaining 23.37 points, or 1.26 per cent to close on 1,870.92.
