Shares of BF&M Ltd improved by 40 cents, or 2.1 per cent, to $19.50 after 1,525 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

A total of 300 shares of Butterfield Bank, and 700 shares of Ascendant Group were also exchanged but with no change to their respective closing prices.

On the New York Stock Exchange, shares of Butterfield Bank also finished flat at $36.58.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 3.06 points, or 0.14 per cent, at 2,137.65.

The BSX Insurance Index was down 1.83 points, or 0.10 per cent, at 1,869.09.
