BF&M Ltd shares were 75 cents lower, or 3.9 per cent, at $18.30 after 100 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

Some 700 shares of Butterfield Bank changed hands, but with no change to the closing price of $35.50. On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank’s shares were up 36 cents, or 1.01 per cent, at $36.18.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was down 5.74 points, or 0.27 per cent, at 2,106.16.

The BSX Insurance Index rose 2.7 points, or 0.14 per cent, to 1,952.76.
