Shares of Somers Limited were up 50 cents, or 3.6 per cent, at $14.25 after 1,200 were traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

Butterfield Bank was down 80 cents, or 2.1 per cent, at $37 after 400 shares were exchanged. While on the New York Stock Exchange, the bank’s shares fell 43 cents, or 1.15 per cent, to $36.92.

On the local exchange there was also trading of One Communications shares, with 8.667 changing hands, but without affecting on the closing price.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index fell by 32.65 points, or 1.47 per cent, to 2,183.74.

The BSX Insurance Index was down 5.31 points, or 0.28 per cent, at 1,916.02.
