Shares of Somers Limited rose 55 cents, or 3.9 per cent, to $14.80 after 9,700 were traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

BF&M Ltd fell 20 cents, or 1.2 per cent, to $16.75 after 3,054 shares were exchanged.

There was also trading of 3,877 shares of Butterfield Bank, but with no change to the closing price of $48.50. However, on the New York Stock Exchange, the bank’s shares were down 14 cents, or 0.29 per cent, at $48.94.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 2.13 points, or 0.08 per cent, at 2,699.43.

The BSX Insurance Index was up 5.93 points, or 0.32 per cent, at 1,861.29.
