BF&M shares fall 0.9%

Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd was the only stock to climb in BSX trading

Shares of BF&M Ltd fell 0.9 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading yesterday.

The insurer shed 15 cents to close on $16.60 as 500 shares changed hands.

Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd, the owner of The Royal Gazette, as well as commercial printing, real estate and retail interests, was the only stock to climb, gaining 5 cents, or 0.8 per cent, to close on $6.15 as 800 shares traded.

Ascendant Group, parent company of power utility Belco, also traded, remaining unchanged at its 52-week high of $12 as 800 shares were exchanged.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index fell 1.08 points to close on 2,712.75. Trading volume was 2,200 shares and turnover was $24,020.

The BSX Insurance Index fell 12.94 points, or 0.7 per cent, to 1,852.56.
