Shares of Butterfield Bank fell by 32 cents, or 0.87 per cent, to close at $36.58 on the New York Stock Exchange.

Meanwhile, a total of 100 shares of BF&M Ltd traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index, but with no change to the closing price of $16.20. The index was unchanged at 2,233.13.

The BSX Insurance Index was up 7.02 points, or 0.47 per cent, at 1,502.77.
