Argus shares climb 8.4% on BSX

Up day: shares of Argus Group, Butterfield Bank and One Communications all gained ground on the BSX

Shares of Argus Group Holdings Ltd surged more than 8 per cent on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.

The insurer gained 25 cents, or 8.4 per cent, to close on $3.24, as 5,000 of its shares changed hands.

Two other stocks also gained ground. Butterfield Bank climbed 50 cents, or 1.4 per cent, to close on $35 as 300 shares were traded.

Butterfield’s US-listed shares gained four cents, or 0.12 per cent, to close on $34.

Also on the rise was One Communications Ltd, which added 14 cents, or 4 per cent, to close on $3.64, a new 52-week high, as 300 shares traded.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index gained 29.41 points, or 1.34 per cent, to close on 2,222.58.

BSX trading volume was 5,600 shares and turnover totalled $27,692.

The BSX Insurance Index gained 18.74 points, or 1.18 per cent, to close on 1,607.82.
