The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was down 35.98 points at 2,141.1
Shares of Butterfield Bank were down 80 cents, or 2.4 per cent, at $33.20 after 436 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank’s shares were up 17 cents, 0.51 per cent, at $33.76.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was down 35.98 points, or 1.65 per cent, at 2,141.1, while the BSX Insurance Index was up 4.96, or 0.31 per cent, at 1,626.54.
