Argus shares gain 1.6 per cent

Argus Group Holdings Ltd gained 1.6 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.

The insurer’s shares climbed five cents to close on $3.25 as 700 shares changed hands.

Argus was the only stock to trade on the BSX. The Royal Gazette/BSX Index gained one point, or 0.05 per cent to close the week on 1.919.37.

On the New York Stock Exchange, shares of Butterfield Bank fell 70 cents, or 2.53 per cent, to close on $27.01, amid a broad market slump. The bank last traded at $27 on the BSX.

The BSX Insurance Index slid 32.14 points, or 1.88 per cent, to close on 1,673.61.

For the week, the index fell 0.1 per cent, with Argus falling 3 per cent over the five trading days, while no other stock changed value.
