Shares of Butterfield Bank were up $1.09, or 4 per cent, at $28.31 on the New York Stock Exchange.

The bank’s shares were unchanged at $27 on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index, where eight shares traded.

Also trading on the local exchange were 10,000 shares of One Communications Ltd, with no change to the closing price of $3.75, and 30 shares of Polaris Holdings Company Ltd, with the stock’s closing price remaining at $5.10.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was unchanged at 1,957, while the BSX Insurance Index was up 7.71 points, or 0.44 per cent, at 1,744.01.
