Shares of Butterfield Bank rose 13 cents, or 0.51 per cent, to $25.57 on the New York Stock Exchange.The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was unchanged at 1,830.1, while the BSX Insurance Index was up 34.16 points, or 2.36 per cent, at 1,479.3.Separately, Somers Limited last month purchased announces 200 of its own common shares at an average cost of $13.50 per share. The shares will be cancelled with immediate effect. The number of Somers Ltd common shares in issue as at July 31 was 21,347,282.
