Shares of Ascendant Group improved by $3.70, or 12.2 per cent, to $33.95 after 4,700 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.Also moving up was One Communications Ltd, which added 10 cents, or 2.6 per cent, to close at $4 after 300 shares changed hands.Butterfield Bank declined $1.50, or 7 per cent, to $20 after 1,000 shares were exchanged. In New York, the bank’s shares were down 74 cents, or 3.57 per cent, at $20.01.The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was down 30.4 points, or 1.84 per cent, at 1,623.8, while the BSX Insurance Index was down 37.51 points, or 3.29 per cent, at 1,101.75.Meanwhile, One Communications last month repurchased 99,000 of its common shares at an average price of $4 for immediate cancellation. This was pursuant to its share repurchase programme.
