Businesses seeking to provide electronic communication services on-island have been invited to submit their application to the Regulatory Authority of Bermuda.The Regulatory Authority of Bermuda, which oversees the island’s electronic communications and energy sectors, will accept licence applications during the period January 27 until February 28.Denton Williams, chief executive of the RA, said: “Consumers will benefit from new entrants to the marketplace, as increased competition typically leads to lower prices, greater product variety and higher product quality.”A moratorium on the granting of integrated communication operation licences was lifted by Walter Roban, Minister of Home Affairs, this year.
