Man in court over Sandys stabbing

A Sandys man was this morning charged with a stabbing that took place in Sandys last week.

Christopher Flood, 30, is accused of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm to Walter Pereira in an incident last Tuesday.

Appearing in Magistrates’ Court today, he was not required to plea as the matter must be heard by the Supreme Court.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo released Flood on $5,000 bail on the condition that he avoids contact with the complainant.

The matter is expected to appear before the Supreme Court on September 1.
