Man denies having knife

A man has denied carrying a folding knife in public.

Taaj Muhammed, 24, pleaded not guilty yesterday in Magistrates’ Court to carrying a bladed article in a public place.

The incident is alleged to have happened on Wednesday in St George’s.

Magistrate Juan Wolffe released Mr Muhammed, from St George’s, on $2,500 bail and adjourned the case until July 1.
