Blue Hole Hill Park assault suspect remanded

A man was charged with punching a 13-year-old boy during a robbery and sex assault on the child’s mother.

The 42-year-old man, from Southampton, pleaded guilty yesterday in Magistrates’ Court to the robbery charge, but not guilty to the assault and sex assault charges. The incidents are alleged to have happened in Blue Hole Hill Park, Hamilton Parish, on June 16.

The defendant and the alleged victims cannot be identified for legal reasons. Senior magistrate Juan Wolffe remanded the man in custody and adjourned the case until August 8.
