Two remanded over alleged fire attack

Two men were remanded in custody yesterday after they were alleged to have beaten a man and set him on fire.

Jahni Holder, 24, and Ayinde Eve, 25, both from Pembroke, were charged with causing grievous bodily harm to Jamar Malik and depriving him of his personal liberty.

The incident is alleged to have occurred on September 9 in Pembroke. Neither defendant entered a plea as the case must be heard in front of the Supreme Court.

Magistrate Tyrone Chin ordered the two men to return for the November arraignments session of Supreme Court.
