Two men appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged with a serious sex assault on a schoolgirl 25 years ago.A 67-year-old man from St George’s and a 56-year-old man from Smith’s were accused of assault on a girl aged under 14.The incident is alleged to have happened on an unknown date between January 24, 1994 and January 23, 1995.The men, who cannot be named for legal reasons, did not enter a plea as the case must be heard in the Supreme Court.Senior magistrate Juan Wolffe adjourned the case until the Supreme Court February arraignments session.He released the defendants on $15,000 bail and ordered them to have no contact with the alleged victim.• It is The Royal Gazette’s policy not to allow comments on stories regarding criminal court cases.
