Man denies assaulting estranged wife

A man has denied assaulting his estranged wife.Dwayne Musson, 24, from Smith’s, pleaded not guilty yesterday to a charge that he caused grievous bodily harm to Leila Musson.Magistrates’ Court heard in an online sitting that Mrs Musson fractured her left forearm in the alleged incident last Saturday.Mr Musson also denied that he threatened Mrs Musson on the same day.Prosecutors alleged that Mr Musson told Mrs Musson: “I will f***ing kill you.”The defendant also pleaded not guilty to breaching the shelter-in-place regulations by having another person in his home.The court heard that the couple were separated before the alleged incident, but were living together during the shelter-in-place period.Charles Richardson, for Mr Musson, added that his client had since left the house.Magistrate Maxanne Anderson adjourned the case until May 4 and released Mr Musson on $4,000 bail.He was ordered to have no contact with his alleged victim.• It is The Royal Gazette’s policy not to allow comments on stories regarding court cases.
