Senior kept in custody after alleged stabbing

A man appeared yesterday in Magistrates’ Court charged with stabbing his 60-year-old neighbour.Gary Cooper, 68, is alleged to have stabbed Arthur Hollis with intent to do grievous bodily harm.The incident is alleged to have happened last Sunday in front of their apartment building on Union Street in Hamilton. Mr Cooper did not enter a plea, as the case must be heard in the Supreme Court. Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo adjourned the case until September 1 and remanded Mr Cooper in custody.• It is The Royal Gazette’s policy not to allow comments on stories regarding court cases.
