The Bermuda Cricket Board has a new-look executive after several vacant positions were filled at its Annual General Meeting at Devonshire Recreation Club on Wednesday night.

St George’s Cricket Club executive and club player Mishael Paynter was voted in as the BCB’s first vice-president and Somerset Bridge Recreation Club’s Paul Ross as the second vice-president.

Moses Mufandaedza was voted in as treasurer and Warwick Workmen’s Club Lorenzo Tucker as the assistant treasurer-secretary. Kellie Smith, of Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club, and Warwick pair Clay Smith and Mike Stovell were all voted in as club representatives.

Also during the nearly two-hour meeting, the minutes of the last Full Board Meeting held on June 20 of this year was approved as was the appointment of KPMG as auditors for the year ending December 31, 2018.

The membership also approved the recommendation from the Executive to create three categories of ex officio membership to consist of Honorary president, life president and life vice-president.

Commenting on the outcome of the AGM, Lloyd Smith, the BCB president, said: “I am very pleased with last night’s meeting which was fully attended by all clubs and the Bermuda Cricket Umpires Association.

“I welcome the newly elected Executive members and thank the outgoing club representatives for their work over the last year.”
