Police are investigating a report of wilful damage at the home of national security minister Wayne Caines.

According to Mr Caines, vandals broke into the pump room and broke a “significant pipe” connected to the water pump last week.

“We made a police complaint and the police are investigating,” he added. “A plumber fixed the problem the same date.”

A police spokesman confirmed that a report of wilful damage was made on Wednesday “and inquiries regarding the matter are under way”.
