Three men stabbed outside Belvin’s store

Three men were stabbed outside Belvin's

Three men were stabbed in an “alcohol-fuelled” fight outside a Happy Valley Road store this evening.

Two men were taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after the incident at Belvin’s Variety and one refused hospital treatment.

A police spokesman said: “The suspect was arrested by police a few minutes after the incident and the victims’ injures do not appear to be life threatening.”

The incident, which police said was not gang-related, happened around 5.35pm.

The store was cordoned off as officers probed the scene.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
