Man stabbed in weekend incident

A man was stabbed in a weekend incident outside a bar, police said yesterday.

Appealing for witnesses, a police spokesman said a 27-year-old from Hamilton Parish was knifed near Bulldogs Bar on Hamilton’s Elliott Street on Friday night or early Saturday morning.

The spokesman added that the man went to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, but left before he was seen by emergency staff.

The spokesman added that the 43-year-old man stabbed on Paget’s Harbour Road in the early hours of last Tuesday was now “stable” in a general ward at the hospital.

The victim, knifed after he got home from work in a Dockyard bar, was at first treated in the hospital’s intensive care unit.
