Girls’ home break-in

Police launched an investigation after a break-in at a government-run home for girls at the weekend.

The Brangman Home was hit by a raider in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A spokeswoman for the ministry said that no residents or staff were harmed.

Kathy Lynn Simmons, the Minister of Legal Affairs, said she and the acting director of the Department of Child and Family Services had met staff and residents after the incident in a bid to reassure staff and residents.
