A man was arrested during a brawl at a cricket club, police revealed yesterday.

The 32-year-old was arrested for an alleged assault on police.

A 22-year-old man was hurt during the incident and was treated at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital before being later discharged.

Police said they responded to reports of a disturbance at St George’s Cricket Club at about 11pm on Sunday.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
