Police have seized ammunition and drugs in a raid on a house, it was revealed yesterday.The search at a Southampton house netted 20 rounds of ammunition, heroin, as well cannabis and cannabis resin.A police spokesman did not reveal the weight of the drugs, but said the amounts “would suggest they were meant for supply”.The spokesman added that a 25-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the seizure and was expected to appear in court.Officers from the police Serious Crime and Drugs Units also worked with the HM Customs and local courier companies from June to October of this year to examine suspicious packages, which were later alleged to have contained parts of firearms.A suspect has already been charged and appeared in court.Detective Superintendent Nicholas Pedro, head the police Crime Division, said: “If you know about the importation of guns into Bermuda, say something.“Our detectives are here and willing to listen and take action against people who make our community less safe.”
