Delivery man in hospital after robbery

A pizza delivery man was last night in the hospital’s intensive care unit after he was attacked by knife-wielding robbers.Police said the 40-year-old, who works for Four Star Pizza, was looking for a delivery address when he was assaulted.The man, said to be under observation in King Edward VII Memorial Hospital’s ICU, suffered cuts to his neck and arm.The attackers took the food, and escaped on foot and on a motorcycle.Police said the incident happened about 8.40pm on Wednesday, at the junction of West Side Road and Church Valley Lane in Sandys.One suspect was described as brown-complexioned, of slim build, believed to be about 17, about 5ft 3in to 5ft 5in and weighed between 130lb to 150lb.He was wearing dark-coloured clothing.The other suspect was a black man about 20 years old and about 6ft 2in tall, who weighed about 180lb.He was wearing a black helmet and dark-coloured clothing.The man was helped at the scene by passers-by before police and paramedics arrived.• Witnesses or anyone with information that could help the inquiry should contact police on 247-1744 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477
