Police received reports of gunshots last night but found no evidence that a firearm was discharged.The reports were made in the Jones Village area of Warwick at about 10.30pm.Officers conducted extensive door-to-door enquiries in the surrounding area and checked CCTV but could find no evidence to confirm the reports.A police spokesman added that King Edward VII Memorial Hospital did not indicate anyone was treated for gunshot wounds.Anyone with information regarding illegal firearms should contact police on 295-0011 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.
