Man arrested after stabbing

A 60-year-old man was found with “multiple” stab wounds on a Hamilton street yesterday.

The injured man was found on Union Street at about 10am.

A police spokesman said the man was taken to hospital by car for treatment, but that his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. Police later went to a Pembroke house and arrested a 69-year-old man.

Anyone in the area of Union Street yesterday morning who may have seen two men involved in an argument should call the Criminal Investigations Unit on 247-1744 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers number at 800-8477
