Mayho takes road race win

Road race winner: Dominique Mayho

Dominique Mayho claimed back-to-back stage victories in the Bermuda Grand Prix after winning the men’s A road race in Southside, St David’s, this morning.

Mayho, who won the hill climb in St George’s last night, finished the road race in a time of 1hr 43min 32.400sec, more than 24 seconds ahead of Jamie Cousins who came second in 1:43:56.969. Nicholas Narraway was third in 1:43:58.766.

Dianna White won the women’s race in 1:13:45.812, with Louise Wells, who took the hill climb, coming second in 1:13:45.954, while Karen Smith placed third in 1:13:46.147.

Caitlyn Conyers, who won the women’s Grand Prix last year, is competing in the men’s B division as she prepares for the Pan Am Games in Lima, Peru, this summer.

Conyers came eleventh in the men’s B road race in 1:24:33.893.

The Grand Prix conludes tomorrow morning with the Hamilton Criterium.
