A man has been taken to hospital with head injuries after a collision between a car and a motorcycle last night.

A police spokesman said emergency services were contacted about a serious collision in Smith’s at about 8pm.

The spokesman said: “Details are limited at this time. However, initial information indicates that the male motorcyclist involved sustained head injuries.

“He has been transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance. Traffic diversions are currently in effect and motorists are advised to expect delays while the scene is processed.”
