Solid rankings for Bermuda riders

Top performance: Angela Halloran-Smith, the Bermuda coach, finished first in her class

Bermuda’s dressage riders have enjoyed solid rankings in the Fédération Equestre Internationale’s World Classifications based on their results in the World Dressage Challenge.

Under the Regional Classification, Bermuda’s coach Angela Halloran-Smith, riding Finnomenal AV, finished first in the Senior II Class, while junior rider Kelsey Amos, riding Wiratoro, was top of the Youth Class.

In the Senior 1 Class, Virginia McKey, riding Matinee, came second and Claire Turner, riding Landtango, finished fourth.

The island’s regional dressage team finished in second in the World Dressage Challenge behind Barbados.

Under the World Dressage Classification, Angela Halloran-Smith secured fifth in the Senior II class out of a field of 124 competitors. In same class, Robin Stempel riding her new horse Rossano Royal 2 came 59th.

In the Senior 1 Class, Virginia McKey riding Matinee placed seventh out of 165 competitors, while in the Youth Class, Kelsey Amos and Wiratoro placed twelfth out of 115 riders.
