Women encouraged to get into the swing

The Bermuda Chapter of the Executive Women’s Golf Association will celebrate its fifth Anniversary with a cocktail cruise, raffles, awards, a tournament and dinner.

EWGA Bermuda welcomes all women of any ability level with an interest in golf to attend its Uber Vida Mini-Cruise on Friday, departing at 6pm, as well as a tournament at Port Royal Golf Course on Saturday.

The tournament has a noon registration and 1pm shotgun start, while a beginners group lesson with Kim Swan, a former PGA European Tour professional, will be held at 4pm.

Later on Saturday, a dinner, plus awards and raffles, will be held at Bella Vista Bar & Grill.

Tickets are $130 for tournament competitors or $50 for the beginners group participants. In addition, each ticket includes one drink ticket on the free mini-cruise, and one drink ticket for the mingle and dinner on Saturday.

The EWGA connects women locally and globally to learn, play and enjoy golf for business and for fun.

The volunteer-run group is dedicated to inclusiveness and diversity in its membership, as well as promoting the growth of women’s golf.

EWGA Bermuda activities include monthly tournaments and social outings for novice and experienced golfers.

New membership is offered for a discounted initiation fee of $150 if paid before Saturday.
