Leseur seals age-group title in Florida

Strong showing: Bermudian golfer Kenny Leseur

Bermudian Kenny Leseur won the 12-14 age group and finished third overall at the Future Collegians World Tour Junior Golf Tournament at the Falcons Fire Golf Club in Kissimmee, Florida.

Leseur, 14, had rounds of 69 and 73 in the 36-hole event on November 17 and 18 to finish third overall among the 13-19 boys, five strokes behind overall winner Luc Warnock, of Canada, who had a two-round total of 137.

“I’d like to thank everyone at FCWT; it was a great event and the golf course was in really good shape,” Leseur said. “I had a good round today and played solid. Obviously, I would have loved to have been a little bit better on the back nine today.”

Leseur returns to action this weekend at another FCWT event at the Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, Florida.

The FCWT conducts junior tournaments for players aged 9-19 in the United States.

The majority of their tournaments take place during the autumn, winter and spring, which allows players to experience in conditions similar to the college level.
