Free health services are being provided in the West End this afternoon.

“Taking it to the Streets” is offering free blood sugar, blood pressure, weight monitoring and cardiac risk profiling testing in Sandys this afternoon.

The testing — open to all over the age of 18 — is taking place at Maximart, located at 42 Middle Road, from 4pm to 8pm.

The Department of Health initiative is being put on in collaboration with the Adventist Community Services and Bermuda Wellness and Outreach Centre.

“The goal is to prevent non-communicable diseases and communicable diseases in the adult population,” a release stated.
