Only three people still fighting coronavirus

All of the 160 coronavirus test results that came back to the Ministry of Health yesterday were clear.The number of confirmed cases remained at 146 and 134 of them have recovered. There were three active cases with one patient in hospital, but not in critical care.A total of nine people who contracted the disease have died.Six cases were under investigation to determine the source of transmission.A total of 42 cases were brought in from overseas.There have been 85 on-island transmissions with a known contact and 13 with an unknown contact. A health ministry spokeswoman said: “The average age of all of our confirmed positive cases is 60 and the age range of all of our positive cases is from 18 to 101 years.“The average age of all deceased cases is 74 and the age range is 57 to 91 years.”She added that the island’s country status was “local transmission — sporadic cases”. Bermuda has carried out 10,794 Covid-19 tests, of which 13 per cent have been retests.The spokeswoman said that about 14 per cent of the population has been tested.
