Lincoln’s words are compelling

Dear Sir,

Slavery is dreadful, has existed for millennia and continues to exist today.

Abraham Lincoln (below) left us a very succinct definition of democracy when he wrote: “As I would not be a slave, so I would not be a master. This expresses my idea of democracy. Whatever differs from this, to the extent of the difference, is no democracy.”

I find these compelling and wise words.
