“Be inspired” is the motto for a local business that introduced a unique concept of joining fitness, creativity and connections under one roof.

Inspired Ltd was created by Jennifer Ward. The company is comprised of Inspired Creative (formerly emedia), Inspired Fitness and Inspired Connections.

The business is located on the ground floor of Sofia House on Church Street, Hamilton.

Under the Inspired Ltd umbrella, there is Inspired Creative, a studio providing marketing, design, website development and social-media services.

“We want to help our clients manage their annual budgets, the companies’ social media and any other needs they have,” Laura Martin-Stout, inspiration manager at Inspired Fitness, said.

At Inspired Fitness, various fitness instructors run classes. “Our aim is to offer unique classes that are different from the usual,” Ms Ward said. “We introduced an all men’s yoga class, which has been great. It creates a space where men can feel comfortable doing yoga among themselves.”

Other classes offered at Inspired are Zumba, Zumba children and Zumba gold, hathayoga, salsa, vinyasa yoga, qigong, bodyshred and Pilates. “We are also looking for more instructors to come on board, right now we want someone to offer wine yoga classes during the evenings,” Ms Ward said.

Inspired Fitness is also in collaboration with Age Concern, whose members get a discount on classes.

The company launched its café and lounge area this month, with the idea of providing a productive space, away from home and the office, to get work done. “The idea is to create an invironment where people can come, relax and have coffee, private meetings and more,” Ms Martin-Stout said.

Ms Ward believes connections are important, and she mentioned that she hopes to connect with people from all walks of life.

“Our space is allowing further growth,” Ms Martin-Stout said. “There’s a lady who we connected with here and she is launching a home-made natural deodorant, we liked that idea and decided we wanted her to also sell it here. That’s how the connections work.”

“The businesses all tie together as well, When Inspired Fitness clients come in, they can have a coffee before their classes in our cafe, or relax after the class is over.” said Ms Martin-Stout. “Our Inspired Creative clients can also come in for meetings while wnjoying coffee in the cafe, but it is for anyone to come in and enjoy.”

Ms Ward developed the tri-pronged approach to bring together her creative talent with her love for fitness and connecting with new people.

“I was running a design company for 18 years called emedia, while I was living in England,” Ms Ward said. “I also taught Zumba for six years. While in England, I noticed there were a lot of fitness places and cafés, so I decided I wanted to open a ‘café studio’.

“When Sofia House became available, I noticed the space was big enough for me to collaborate all three of my ideas and bring them into fruition.”

The Inspired Ltd office hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, but the Inspired Fitness classes vary depending on the calendar.
