Edgewood hires two paediatricians

New recruit: Stephen Kenny

Edgewood Pediatrics has hired two paediatricians, Stephen Kenny and Kristen Woodward, who will start work there in August.

Dr Kenny completed his speciality training in paediatrics at Duke University Hospital, North Carolina last year. His comprehensive background comprises inpatient and outpatient paediatrics, including neonatal and paediatric intensive care.

Dr Kenny grew up in Bermuda, attending Saltus Grammar School, and completed his bachelor’s degree at Yale University, Connecticut. He then obtained his graduate degree in medicine from The Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland.

Dr Woodward received her MD from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA in 2015 and completed paediatric residency at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island last year.

She has a particular interest in nutrition and infant care and has been a Certified Lactation Counsellor from the Academy of Lactation Policy & Practice since 2017.

Dr Woodward was born and raised in Bermuda. She attended Mount Saint Agnes Academy, then the Groton School in Groton, Massachusetts, and Georgetown University in Washington DC, receiving a BA in English and a minor in psychology.

Both Dr Kenny and Dr Woodward are members of the American Academy of Pediatrics. They are pleased to be returning to Bermuda with their families and joining the Edgewood Pediatrics team.
