LinkBermuda has made a capital investment of $2 million to upgrade its fibre network, enhancing the company’s ability to provide greater speeds of service.

“We have a strong and proven track record of investing in and building world-class networks that deliver the most advanced, forward -ooking services to our enterprise customers,” says Julya Hill, CEO, LinkBermuda.

“We believe that what makes us the strongest choice for business is our flexible, consultative and collaborative approach to building creative, secure and high performance solutions that truly meet our customers’ needs.”

Ms Hill said the upgrade work was well under way.

“We’re very pleased with the speed by which the team is advancing this fibre upgrade. Although there remains work to do, we are confident that it will be complete by the spring of 2019 at which time customers, current and new, will see immediate benefits.”

LinkBermuda has invested over $10 million over the past five years to bring advanced business services including voice, data, internet, data centre hosting, and cloud and business continuity services to small and large enterprise companies across Bermuda, and beyond.

This has been achieved through strong relationships with global partners, and the company’s local and international network, which links to its subsea cable system, providing full diversity and service continuity.

The company describes this upgrade as an enhancement to its core investments on the island, which includes two state-of-the-art, SOC2-audited Tier 111 Data Centres — considered the most secure and robust with the ability to withstand Category 5 strength hurricanes.

LinkBermuda is a wholly owned subsidiary of Eastlink, a Canadian company.
