Acumen expands recruitment team

New role: Kezia Furbert has joined Acumen (Photograph supplied)

The Acumen Group is growing its Bermudian-based family with the addition of Kezia Furbert.

Ms Furbert has left a career in insurance industry risk management to take up a new role in human resources at Acumen.

“We are very excited to have Kezia on board and we look forward to growing the team and recruitment services, together,” said director of recruitment Stephanie Brown.

Acumen offers a range of outsourced services, such as recruitment, management and payroll, among other things, to Bermudian-based companies.

“The demand for our support has grown rapidly along with our network of job seekers,” Ms Brown said. “As a company we are able to adapt quickly to the needs of the business community and it has resulted in this need for team expansion.”

She said Ms Furbert is a great fit for Acumen, because of her skill set, personality and previous industry work experience.

“Companies benefit from hiring the right people for the role and we aim to achieve that with every placement, including our own,” Ms Brown said. “Employee training and development is also very important, and we’re pleased to offer Kezia this opportunity.”

Ms Furbert will provide a supporting role in the recruitment team, assisting clients across the island, with vetting applications, interviewing and shortlisting for a range of employment opportunities as well as carrying out the detail-oriented administrative functions associated with staff recruitment, such as background checks, preparing offers and employment contracts for Acumen.

Ms Furbert was grateful for this new opportunity.

“I am eager to apply my current knowledge while developing and learning new skills,” she said. “I look forward to providing recruitment support to new and existing clients across various industries on island.”
