Companies without the ability to sell their products and services online can now do so quickly and easily through a virtual marketplace created AAC/Ptix.Vicki Coelho, chief executive officer of AAC/Ptix, said: “This is the time for Bermudians to show how they can support other Bermudian companies. We’re stepping up to the plate and using what resources we have to not only keep our own staff engaged and moving forward, but to reach out to other businesses to provide a worthwhile service that will help them maintain revenue.”Ptix, the online event ticketing agency, merged with AAC advertising agency in June 2019, to become an integrated marketing services and online digital provider that is 100 per cent Bermudian-owned and staffed. In a statement, it said: “The team has not stopped working (from home!) to show how they can bring creative solutions to help businesses faced with temporarily closing their doors because of the current crisis. The advertising agency arm of the company is also continuing to provide marketing support and graphic design for anyone’s business needs.” The Ptix virtual marketplace is set up to sell anything online, such as retail, food, donations, gift cards, webinars, gym classes, virtual concerts and more. The company said businesses can get their own page set up and running in just one day and the only fee is 5 per cent of the sale, plus credit card costs. Transaction funds are reconciled weekly and includes a real-time reporting engine to monitor sales. The company said: “In addition, Ptix will provide a customer care service for transactions by phone and e-mail, and will promote businesses in the regular weekly newsletter.” Ptix said it can also provide customised online shopping cart solutions for clients, leveraging payment gateway solutions from First Atlantic Commerce and Authorise. NET. It can also help develop or update website, and provide hosting services. The company said: “These are perhaps some of things that many businesses have considered doing, but ‘never got around to it’, so now is the perfect time to get it done.” • More information on the Ptix virtual marketplace is available by contacting info@ptix.bm or calling 278-1500.
