Brothers set to entertain in Dockyard

A trio of talented Bermudian brothers are gearing up to headline the next edition of a weekly West End event.

The Simons Brothers Band will perform at Destination Dockyard on Monday night.

Band member Jonathan Simon said the band loving playing in the West End.

The 18-year-old guitar player explained: “There is always a good atmosphere and from what we saw of the event on Monday there’s going to be a pretty big crowd.

“It will be a lot of fun.”

He will be joined by his brothers Solomon, 16, on piano and Leonardo, 12, on the drums.

Hundreds turned out for the first Destination Dockyard event last week.

Stephanie Rodill, Marketing and Events Manager for the West End Development Corporation, said the first night of Destination Dockyard had been a big success.

Ms Rodill added: “It has been absent for a few years but there was a lot of demand to revive the event which showcases Bermudian talent and creativity.”

Destination Dockyard is held every Monday from 7pm to 10pm until September 24.

There are also several events planned for October on the 6, 15, 21, 26 and 31.

The event is being run by PinkSand Entertainment.
