Traffic will be reduced to a single lane on parts of Kindley Field Road this week to allow for trench work at the new airport. The Ministry of Public Works said the stretch would be affected from today to Sunday, January 19.A spokesman explained: “The lane closures are being made to accommodate trench work for the new airport construction. “As a result, sections of Kindley Field Road will become single-lane two-way traffic. “Traffic flow will be co-ordinated through the use of stop-and-go traffic control signs put in place and managed by Aecon.”Questions about the closures can be directed to Mason Lamarche at Aecon Airport Constructors on 533-0075.The Ministry of Public Works asked for “full co-operation” from the public and apologised for any inconvenience.
