Traffic has been diverted from South Road in Paget because of a downed wire near the Ice Queen restaurant.

A police spokesman said just before 5pm that the road had been blocked with westbound traffic diverted onto Stowe Hill and eastbound traffic has been diverted onto Valley Road.

The spokesman added that the road could remain closed to traffic until 8pm.
