A one-gun salute will tomorrow mark the reopening of the national museum and pay tribute to essential staff who have worked over the Covid-19 crisis.Elena Strong, the museum’s executive director, said: “During our temporary closure, while we were more remote than ever, we found that history and culture helped keep us together. “Now that we are reopen, we look forward to safely welcoming visitors back.”The museum, in Dockyard, has been closed for three months because of the pandemic.The gun will roar at 11am in front of Commissioner’s House and tickets for the display are available.But people who cannot make it to the West End can enjoy the spectacle live on the museum’s Facebook page, or on its Twitter or Instagram pages.Admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, and free for children under 16.
